TRUST & PRIVACY

Trust begins with a boundary you can understand.

Private spiritual activity remains private. Scripture is identified clearly. AI is used with humility. Human and emergency care are never represented as something this app can replace.

PRIVACY BEFORE PERSONALIZATION

Your private spiritual life does not become church data.

Private by default

  • Talk conversations
  • Today check-ins
  • Saved Scripture or private entries
  • Focus areas or recovery origin
  • Journey progress or search history
  • Precise location, safety classifications, or inferred needs
  • Anything not deliberately included in an exact sharing preview

Saved or shared only when you act

  • Saving a passage, reflection, prayer, note, or reading position
  • Turning optional personalization or church-teaching relevance on
  • Previewing and sending an exact message to an authorized church care team

Controls remain yours

  • Export the account data the platform holds for you.
  • Delete private saves or request account deletion.
  • Withdraw optional consent and personalization choices.
  • Disconnect a church without losing Free Mission Access or transferring account ownership.

NON-ADDICTIVE BY DESIGN

Your attention and spiritual life are not engagement metrics.

Come when you need it. Leave when you are ready. Return without shame.

  • No streak shame, attendance pressure, or punishment for time away.
  • No spiritual scores, rankings, badges, or public comparison.
  • No followers, likes, popularity counts, or social-performance metrics.
  • No fear, guilt, or urgency notifications designed to pull you back.
  • No giving request tied to distress, crisis language, or a vulnerable moment.
  • No endless feed or manufactured stopping anxiety.

Come when you need it. Leave when you are ready. Return without shame.

SCRIPTURE

Context before conclusions.

Verified text and citation

References and quoted text are verified against the bundled Berean Standard Bible source before presentation.

Read beyond one verse

Surrounding context and connected passages are available so a verse is not treated as a slogan or promise detached from its setting.

Relevance without revelation

Relevance is offered as careful assistance—not revelation, prophecy, or a claim that God selected a verse specifically for someone.

Translation and source: The current reader uses the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), 3rd Printing, from its official public-domain source. Translation and source information remain visible with the text.

AI WITH HUMILITY

Assistance, never spiritual authority.

AI may assist with

  • Understanding what a person is carrying
  • Finding relevant verified Scripture
  • Structuring a compassionate reflection
  • Offering a grounded next step

AI is never presented as

  • God or a source of new revelation
  • A pastor, church, or clergy relationship
  • Therapy, diagnosis, or licensed medical care
  • Emergency response or continuous monitoring

Limitations and fallback: AI can misunderstand context or become unavailable. Scripture verification, safety boundaries, quality checks, and an honest limited-response fallback remain in place; a fallback is labeled instead of pretending the full companion ran.

SAFETY & HUMAN CARE

When a real person is needed, the next step should lead to one.

For adults

Adults are encouraged to bring in a trusted person, qualified professional, pastor, sponsor, advocate, or emergency service when the situation calls for human care.

For young people

Ages 13–17 receive stronger privacy defaults and safe-adult language. Youth pastoral care fails closed unless the church has approved safeguarding rules and the required adult visibility.

Pastoral handoff

Pastoral sharing is optional, previewed, and limited to authorized care roles. Church inboxes are not continuously monitored and are never represented as emergency response.

GOVERNANCE & CORRECTIONS

Claims must be testable, and mistakes must be correctable.

  1. Scripture references, quoted text, and response citations pass executable verification checks.
  2. Safety classification, moderation, response quality, privacy firewalls, and church tenant isolation are covered by blocking release tests.
  3. Corrections are handled by tracing the affected source, policy, or response contract; repairing it; adding a regression check; and rerunning the complete release gate.
  4. No outside credential, review, or assurance is claimed unless it has actually occurred and can be named accurately.
